Ladykiller Caterpillar - Ladykiller Caterpillar
Awesome 5 track album on band camp
This 4 piece from Scotland can really rock!!
First up is 'Hey Mary'.Great guitar intro then onto a punky head nodder of a track that bounds along with an infectious energy and a cool little guitar solo in the middle.reminds me a bit of Sum 41 or AAF.like it!!Next is 'Eye of the Storm'.Another rocker that makes you want to get up and jump in the mosh pit.great vocals superb guitars, that lead is immense throughout the album but backed up really well by all the band.On to 'Something Special'.And it is,slower but no less powerful.thoughtful vocal, intense lyric and a haunting guitar lick flowing along.this is six and a half minutes of pure class.this is one of those rare tracks that gets in your head & your heart at the same time.real nice guys!!would love to hear this live, bet it would blow
me away.Back to the riffage with 'All legs no class'.funky rocker with a RHCP vibe.i defy you to keep still while listening to this.short, sweet & guaranteed to put a smile on your face & a groove in your pants.once again has a great little guitar solo.lastly 'Threadbare'.slowed down stripped back and beautiful.more of an acoustic sound with nice vocal harmonies.lyrically very good as well.First I've heard of this band but I'm sure it won't be the last.hopefully get to see them live sometime soon.Maddferret likes a lot!!!!
